Chloé Dee: aka Nutritional Gangster, chef extraordinaire, performance coach, and author of our last blog post, "The Ashtanga Shift". Chloé recently spoke at the Seattle University event "Yoga & Spirituality: Bridging the Gap between Sport and Spirituality". She will be leading a yoga workshop in January, one in February, a 2-week spring cleanse in March, and a Sedona retreat in April - check our workshops & retreat page for deets if you want to feel the shakti.
Emily Kasman: blogger and entrepreneur who is dedicated to creating and maintaining deep internal shifts - recently featured in Mantra Yoga + Health magazine. Emily leads incredibly impactful juice cleanses several times per year, and will be doing a retreat cleanse on San Juan Island in January. Her yoga classes are among the most popular & frequently visited at SRY due to her excellent playlists and intelligent flow sequences. Emily recently wrote a beautiful blog post called "Fall in Love with Your Breath" - go read it and fall in love with yours right now.
Kat Selvocki: fully energized & alive gratitude master and incredibly skillful yoga instructor who is beautifully endearing both on and off the mat. Kat's guidance & instructions bring students to alignment which will keep them practicing long-term, avoiding injuries due to incorrect posture in asanas. We couldn't be luckier to have her as part of our team.
We have some new instructors who will be subbing classes this month and teaching regularly in January. Here's why I'm so excited to have them on board:
Glenn Tousignant: manager and owner of several yoga studios in the Seattle area over the last seven years, who truly understands the student's experience. Glenn is deeply rooted in community building and I'm so excited to have him on board! Glenn will be covering the Thursday noon class while I am out for maternity leave.
Jen Mullholand: used to call Chicago home and taught at Moksha Yoga there. Jen is just finishing up her 500 hour teacher training with Noah Mazé, who was an early student of Ashtanga yoga taught by Pattabhi Jois and Richard Freeman. Jen is a dedicated daily yoga practitioner who is fully committed to teaching yoga with deep integrity.
Nancey Cohen: yoga teacher, writer for Elephant Journal, and massage therapist. Read her most recent article, "Opening to Vulnerability, Abundance, & Gratitude". Arguably the best yin teacher in Washington state, deeply loved by her students. I'm so excited to have Nancey join the team!
Have you taken classes from one of these instructors? I'd love to hear about your experience in the comments below!
